Parliament ($1.30) proved too good in the $12,000 South West Slopes Credit Union Young Cup Benchmark 74 Handicap (1660m), somewhat of a hometown Cup win for leading apprentice jockey Tyler Schiller, who hails from Young.
Now based at Jerilderee, Schiller combined with Parliament for a second straight win together.
Parliament, trained by Wangaratta-based Andrew Dale, now has seven wins from 22 starts.
The Young Cup six-race program was shifted to Wagga Riverside due to coronavirus restrictions preventing the meeting to take place at Toompang Racecourse.
It was upgraded to a Sky meeting with TAB coverage.
The victory capped a winning double for Schiller, who partnered impressive debutant Lady Brook ($2.50) to a big win in the Hilltops Equine Centre Maiden Handicap (1050m) for his boss, Phil Sweeney, earlier in the day.
