Leigh's photo 'Iandra Church Nightscape' finished second in the Opens (18 years and over) category, behind Blayney's Megan Rutherford and her photo 'Shearing Time'.
The Regional Development Australia Central West announced the award late last week, recognising budding, professional and social media photographers.
Entrants were tasked to capture something close to heart with year's theme 'Hometown Pride - Icons of the Central West'.
Regional Development Central West CEO Sam Harma said the competition, only its second year, was a great success.
"We had an overwhelming response and received more than 150 entries across the junior and open sections," said Mr Harma.
"We want to say a big thank you to everyone who entered. It certainly wasn't an easy decision however; we are excited to announce this year's prize winners."
Mr Harma also explained that this year's winners and a number of selected entries will feature in Regional Developement Australia Central West's new travelling photo display.
"The Central West is made up of terrific towns and villages with beautiful, iconic landscapes and this should be continually celebrated and our new travelling photo display is a way to do just that," Mr Harma added.
"We have some very talented photographers in the region and the display is the perfect platform to not only showcase their skills but also promote the wonderful region in which we live and demonstrate our hometown pride.
"Our vision for the travelling photo display is for the 2020 winners and other selected entries to feature throughout the Central West in local information centres, council chambers and other interested organisations."
Woodstock's Kaitlyn Rutledge ('Drinks at Dusk') took out the junior prize, while Grenfell's Helen Carpenter received a special mention for her entry 'A Yarn with Henry'.

Due to the large volume of photographs received in this year's competition, a special mention was also made by the judges on the following entries:
