A total of $21,839,163 is being invested in 43 road projects across all nine local government areas in the Cootamundra electorate.
Further details of where the money will be spent were announced on Monday.
Of Hilltops council's $2.5 million, roads in and around Young will benefit from upgrades worth about $1.9 million.
Dundas Street, Trafalgar Street, Moppity Road, Bribbaree Road, Tubbul Road, Scenic Road, Berthong Road, Hintons Road and Back Creek Road have all been allocated money.
McMahons Reef Road between Harden and Jugiong and Colorado Road near Harden were the other winners.
"I know regional and rural residents rely on roads much more than our city counterparts which is why I took our fight to the cabinet table to deliver for residents in the Hilltops local government area," Riverina MP and Deputy Prime Minister Michael McCormack said.
"This funding will deliver critical infrastructure projects right across the country to help keep construction businesses running and people in jobs."
Hilltops mayor Brian Ingram said the funding would go a long way towards patching damaged roads across the region.
"Without this extra funding, we would not have the financial capacity to fix these local roads," Mr Ingram said.
"We really appreciate this grant funding and the Hilltops community will benefit from the various road works across the region," mayor Ingram added.
