The 'Pickers have recruited heavily in the off-season with Picker brothers Mick, Joe and Ben all joining, while Inoke Vunipolu, Michael Dodson, James Woolford and John Grant have also signed on.
Young juniors Nic Hall and Tom Jenkins, who are linked with NRL clubs, have returned and slot into the centre pairing for round one against Junee Diesels at Junee.
Playing a shortened season due to coronavirus, it will be crucial for Young to gel quickly and overcome a disrupted pre-season.
Coach Nick Hall says it's an exciting time.
"I think like every other side we haven't had enough time to do what we need to do to be ready but I'm very excited about getting together and starting, I'm excited about the standard of the opposition this year," Nick Hall said.
"I think it is going to be a good comp and I'm interested to see how everyone is going to handle the same issues we've had in bringing everyone together. I am a bit nervous about our travellers and our inability to get the whole squad together has been an issue but games will help us with."
All five Young grades travel to Laurie Daley Oval for a full day of Group Nine rugby league action.
Young are aiming to defend their Weissel Cup (under 18s) and Sullivan Cup (under 16s) crowns.
