The Lions and Tolland were locked at 1-1 at the break but two goals in the second half sealed victory for the Lions, keeping their undefeated record intact following four rounds of the 2020 regular season.
Young's Brianna Long opened the scoring about 15 minutes into the match courtesy of perfect cross from Sarah Gregory.
This goal was cancelled out when Tolland equalised before halftime.
Laura Atkins put the Lions in front following the restart and played a hand in setting up Young's third through captain Jemma Long who increased the advantage with about 15 minutes remaining.
Long said it was great performance.
"The team played incredibly well, it was great to see," she said.
"We have spent a lot of time working on certain things at training and we know now that they are working and the girls are playing a lot smarter and harder as a team to pull off some amazing performances on the field. We have a number of junior players who have stepped up and out done themselves."
Long praised the contingent of junior Lions, Charlotte Doldissen, Sarah Dillon, Holly Fitzsimmons, and Lily Coddington, in stepping up to seniors.
"The team played so well together that there really wasn't any stand outs. Everyone had an awesome game and gave it their best," she said.
"Our junior players are settling in nicely and are adding great value to our team."
This weekend is round five and Young takes on Lake Albert at Wagga on Sunday.
In the other games, Young's men's third grade and reserve grade sides suffered 4-0 and 6-0 losses respectively.
