Long standing commercial real estate agent John R Barton says the new business will enhance variety of retail in Young.
While not announcing the building's business future, Mr Barton said it's good news for the local economy.
The building, which has been vacant for more than 18 months, did have continued tenancy since it was built by Tom Tester during 1940s for GJ Coles Variety Store.
It traded by the GJ Coles Variety Store company name until the early 90s when it became known as Coles-Fosseys.
It was later established as Target Country, which closed on Saturday, December 29, 2018 due to a lease expiry, according to a Target spokesperson at the time.
Mr Barton, who has now sold the property on five occasions since 1988, said the purchase caps off a remarkable sales record for the building.
He said annual rental income at the site has risen from $27,500 to $96,000 during that 30 year period.
"The current sale is in keeping with proven sales results in the central shopping district in the last 12 months.The new owners are looking forward to a bright future. Also for shoppers," Mr Barton said.
"Future business usage will remain anonymous until settlement early October."
