The 2021 Young and District Netball Association Opens team consists of the following players:
- Sheryn Baird
- Nikela Coulter
- Erin Hand
- TJ Dal Molin
- Shelby Inwood
- Marylouise Minehan
- Tori Pope
- Ashleigh Sheridan
- Lauren Sheridan
- Karlee Slater and
- Jenee West
The Open's team will contest Division 2 (country predominantly) this weekend.
"Whilst the team's preparation hasn't been ideal with players from all over the eastern states coming together the quality of the team should put way any disadvantage," the Club said.
"Leading up to this event we came third at state league, which was for most the first game or touch of a netball for 18 months so it wasn't a bad result."
At the Young Carnival the Young Opens side managed to win before they contested the Wagga Wagga Carnival where the side came in as runners up.
"This team is going out to win this tournament and we certainly have the players to do just that," the Club said.
Aiming for a top five finish the side's eyes are firmly set on the silverware with the win the goal for the side.
"This is a special year for the Open's after losing our long time manager Meryl Steel this last year to cancer we have the added knowledge of knowing she will be cheering us on all the way," Young and District Netball Association said.
"So lets get behind this sensational team and wish them all the best for a brilliant weekend of netball."
