Saturday the Jerry Stolhand Memorial golf day attracted 120 players and a number of visitors from Tumut.

Jerry was the club’s first professional and contributed much to the club.
Also visiting from the USA was Chris Evans who is Jerry’s son, and Cameron Stolhand (10) who is Chris Evans’ grandson.
Sponsors on board for the day were Karana Weddings, Neon Multimedia, the Stolhand family, Bush Boutique, James French, Exact Aerospace, Wayne Hewson, Wayne Honeman, the French boys and the Stolhand boys.
Other visitors were Ian Horley and former local Bill Grounds.
The leading men’s team was Steve Sell and Joel Shields with 57.5 nett.
Joel achieved a hole in one on the seventh hole – congratulations.
In second place was Mick Alexander and Luke Branighan with 59 ¾ nett.
In the ladies team event Sharon Wilder and Melissa Wilder finished in first place on 65 ¼ from Kate Cooper and Jan Broderick on 68 ¼ nett.
The mixed winning four was James French and Samantha Stolhand on 60 nett from Chris Evans and Christabel Stolhand on 62 nett.
The NTP winners were Joel Shields on the seventh with a hole in one, Bill Oliver on the 16th and Errol Perkins on the 17th.
The ladies NTP winner for the seventh was Debbie Slater, and Sue Bristow on the 16th.
The long drive winners were Michele Blizzard and Joel Shields.
A special prize was won by R Worsnop and S Manual.
The complimentary barbecue organised by the sponsors was a great success.

The Sunday medley, sponsored by Young AutoPro was won by Shane Ferguson on 40 points on a countback from Robert Keevil.

On Tuesday Lyn Quay was the nine hole winner on 20 points from Nerida James on 19 points.
On Wednesday 56 players participated and Wayne Hewson with 40 points won on a countback from John Connell with 40, Greg Grounds on 39, Peter L Cusack Jrn on 38, Shaun Rolfe on 36 (Par figures back nine holes) and John Barton on 36 points.
Balls to 31 points on a countback.
On Friday Darren O’Brien was the winner on 26 points from Wayne Hewson with 23 points, Neville Alchin with 23 points and Larraine Nicolls with 23 points.
This coming Saturday Col and Michele will sponsor a 4BBB medley stableford.
Sunday’s event will be sponsored by John Barton Property.
We will be holding a special social event on Saturday, November 2.
Garry’s Gourmet Meats will be catering with a beef and pork spit roast barbecue buffet from 6.45pm with live music supplied by Peter Adams and his mate John from 8pm.
Table bookings at the club and tickets need to be collected by Sunday, October 27.
