It broke the 116 cent mark overnight thanks to the Road House dropping their price by one cent to charge 114.9.
Local prices have dropped by an average of 17 cents since The Young Witness began its fuel campaign 21 days ago.
Individual service stations are between 15 and 20 cents cheaper than what they were charging on January 12.
And are between one and four cents less compared to last Monday.
Here are today's petrol prices around Young. The district prices, to help local motorists compare, are the average prices recorded by NRMA yesterday. We've been unable to collect Harden's prices.
For a third consecutive day, Young has recorded its lowest average petrol price since the campaign began.
It's 0.16 cheaper than Friday's average and one cent less than Thursday.
January 12's average was 132.9 cents.
Young's stations remain the same today compared to Friday, except for the Road House.
It's the first time in a week the Olympic Highway station has shifted from 115.9 cents.
Today three local stations are charging 114.9 cents for their unleaded or E10 petrol.
And none of the six stations in town are charging more than 117.9 cents per litre.
Young's average remains less than Canberra (by 1.8 cents) and Temora (by three cents).
But we're still two cents dearer than Yass and 4.4 cents more than Forbes.
And we still sit more than 15 cents higher than Sydney's average, who has now hit the $1 mark.
Sydney's average is at its lowest since January 12.
