Plenty of water was had by all (including one fellow who had seven water bottles!) .

The first match of the day saw Hornets and Navy Seals in a tight game with Hornets winning the game.
Although the score read 6-1 to the Hornets, the Navy Seals held their own certainly proving that youth really is an advantage.
Mikaela Leonow scored three goals for the Hornets and Zac Williams, Luke Cosgrove and Natasha Cosgrove also scored each for their team.
Marg Cosgrove came back for another run and proved she has certainly not lost her skills if but a little out of practice!
Good on you Marg.
Liam McLachlan scored the only goal for Navy Seals in what may have possibly been the goal for the day.
Liam found himself right on the back line and with a precision push and a slight angle managed to get his ball over the goal line. Well done Liam!
Mighty Ducks and Pink Panthers appeared to be having a fun game.
Loren Wilkinson scored with a ‘triple somersault, double flip, slide twisted back stick thingy’ for Mighty Ducks followed closely behind by Elyse Telfer (McKnight) and Brodie McKnight.
Pink Panthers were scoreless in this game but I certainly saw some solid defence from Tracey Clark and Fred Dimmick.
Mixed Bag and Alpha had a tight and very fast game.
Alex McLachlan, Elliot Dodd and Brendan Robinson scored for Alpha whilst Dylan Bright and Jarred Pope scored for Mixed Bag.
Fantastic play was to be seen by newcomer Hannah Laybutt who has joined our twilight this year and looks like she has been playing for years.
I think you will be someone we will see a lot from Hannah, congratulations!
Three generations of one family also played in this game and it was really lovely to watch them all interact together.
Well done Webster/Laybutt clans!
I also have to mention what fun it was to watch Hugh McInerney and Dave Webster playing against each other - like master and apprentice - thanks guys, and Hugh remember, you have to go around Dave, not through him!
White Trash played a strong game against Gators with Geoff Palmer, Ben Allen, Brett Humphreys and Dylan Bright scoring for White Trash and Steele Rudd scoring for Gators.
This game was certainly a fast and physical match.
Welcome back and congratulations to the McGovern’s on the new addition to their family, I hope the twilight competition helps to blow out some cobwebs!
DTS 2 played strong against an exhausted Hornets who backed up for their second game for the day.
Having been run around by the youth of Navy Seals, Hornets seemed to be lacking a little puff when they played DTS 2.
Joanne Garlick (who started her morning on the Gold Coast and still managed to get to Hockey!) scored a goal for DTS 2 as did Justin Garlick.
Newcomer Zac Laybutt scored two goals in his first match for DTS 2.
Well done Zac a great effort from you mate.
Zac Williams, Mikaela Leonow and Dylan Bright scored for the Hornets in this game. (Hey Dylan were you tired on Monday? It seems you played three games straight!!)
Navy Seals and Pink Panthers also backed up for their second match of the day in the scorching heat over on ground three.
In what was a very close match and seemingly a lot of fun Navy Seals only just managed to seal (ha ha) the deal with Liam McLachlan, Alex McLachlan and Joe Zuzek scoring for the team and Brendan McKay and Di Lonnen scoring for the Pink Panthers.
Leigh Crowden had a great game for the Panthers almost knocking poor Tracey Clark over in the effort to get to the ball, only to be foiled by Joe Zuzek from the Navy Seals.
What a run! I’ve seen it now Leigh, no hiding for Winter!
Golden Oldies and Mighty Ducks played a funny game together with many of the players seemingly confused which teams they were on and who was playing for who. How funny you guys are! Sonja Hultgren, Loren Wilkinson, Doug Lynch and Brayden Jurd scored for the Golden Oldies and Brodie McKnight and Scott Tierney scored for the Mighty Ducks.
I’m still getting used to seeing the beardless Scott and am constantly wondering who is out there amongst it all. Keep up the good work Scott.
Watching Gators and Mixed Bag was like watching a small boat out on very rough seas. Fast paced, ball constantly changing hands, lots of sweat and plenty of fun to be had.
Lewis Pressley, Hugh McInerney, Jared Pope, Molly Maloney and Dylan Bright scored for the Mixed Bag and Jake Rudd, Angus Rudd, Zac Sell and Kyle McGovern scored for the Gators.
Angela Noon took one for the team with a very bruised and sore looking left hand, hope it has been feeling better during the week.
The last game for the day between Vipers and DTS1 was a seven nil win to the Vipers. Scott Murray, Alex Blomfield and Hayley Saines all scoring for Vipers with Teresa Campbell and Robyn Veness both scoring twice.
The score line of the match not really reflecting how close the game actually was.
