Jose Webber, Pediatric Occupational Therapist, of Kick Starting Kids Young, recently gave a free education session to the staff focusing on promoting healthy sensory development in early childhood.
Jose at Annette’s Place will present a free education session on “Promoting Active Play” at 7pm on Thursday, April 28. This education night is for all parents, teachers, health workers and community members.
Learn what sensory development in children means and hear practical examples of how to promote coordination, balance, attention and social skills. This is such an important topic for promoting healthy development in early childhood.
These education sessions are part of a sensory development project running at Annette’s Place Preschool and Childcare Centre.
The project included a $2600 Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal Grant which enabled the purchase of new stimulating outdoor play equipment for the children.
