
A LOCAL man is set to appear in Young Local Court next month after police executed a search warrant on his house Friday.
The man is expected to face drugs charges after police discovered a quantity of cannabis on the property.
The search warrant was executed on the Cram Avenue property around 8am Friday.
Broken tail-light alerts police
A WOMAN driving a car with broken tail-lights attracted the attention of local police and now she is to appear in court on drink driving charges.
The woman was stopped in Lovell Street around 11.30pm Saturday and after returning a positive breath test was conveyed to Young Police Station to undergo breath analysis.
The 0.07 blood alcohol reading was enough to earn her a Court Attendance Notice.
She will appear in Young Local Court on a date to be confirmed.
More letterboxes damaged
LOCAL letterboxes are still being targeted by vandals with two more attacks and one completely removed.
A Murringo Street resident woke last Thursday to a damaged mail box - the only clue a small cylindrical object inside.
They had reportedly heard a loud bang around 9pm the previous night.
A William Street resident also reported hearing a loud bang around 7pm last Thursday night.
Upon investigation he discovered the letterbox containing cardboard and smoulder marks.
Another letterbox was targeted in Chillingworks Road - this time last Wednesday night when it was removed between 8pm and 6am Thursday.
It was later discovered in the front yard of a Henry Lawson Way property.
