The fundraiser has been held every year since 2000 with proceeds going to a local charity.
This year the proceeds are going to St Vincent de Paul.
Principal Chris Browne said it is great how the students get so involved.
“Led by the Student Leadership team, the students really get into the spirit of the day,” Mr Browne said.
“They hold stalls and sell lolly bags, drinks and cakes among other foods.
“The day is also a great way for us to remember the work of the school’s namesake Monseigneur Jerome Hennessy.
“The first Hennessy Day in 2000 was to celebrate the re-naming of the school.
“Originally it was the Presentation Sisters Monastery back in 1891.
“Monseigneur Hennessy’s legacy is enormous and the day is a great way for us to help keep his memory alive,” he said.
