As they had in their previous two games, the boys meant business right from the kick-off.
The Yabbies went to work like a well-oiled machine, with their forwards smashing the ball up for a few phases and then Nick Maloney and Tom Cummins spinning it wide to their hard-running outside backs.
At the break-down the boys were fantastic, retaining all their own ball and stealing possession back from Uni-Norths the few times they managed to get their hands on it.
The Yabbies play best on a 'dry track' and the Uni-Norths field suited us perfectly.
The boys played some breathtaking running rugby and their defence was as good as their attack. For the third week in a row the boys kept their opposition scoreless, while scoring 70 points themselves.
Tries were scored by Frazer Ryder (3), Milo Dowling (2), Tom Turner (2), Nick Maloney (2) with James Schiller, Jordan Noakes and James Fergusen scoring one each.
Milo kicked three goals and Tom Turner and Tom Cummins kicked one each.
Coach John Turner said picking out players for best and fairest points has been hard of late as every boy is trying his heart out and playing fantastic rugby.
Points for last weekend’s game went to Frazer Ryder who received three for a huge effort in attack and defence, James Fergusen received two for a great all-round game, particularly at the breakdown, while Rory Turner and Nick Maloney received one each. Rory for a brilliant defensive effort and Nick for a sublime attacking game.
Every player in the team deserves huge credit for coming through the 'meat grinder' that is Canberra First Division rugby with their spirit and bravery intact and then to achieve what they have achieved in the last month really is a fantastic effort.
The boys have a bye this weekend before the commencement of the semi-finals the following week.
