The Burrangong Bears traveled to Eugowra on Sunday to take on the Golden Eagles in their last match of the season.

The First Grade Bears challenged the Eagles in what was a high-scoring game.
Young were right in it during first half as Benny Wallwork set the standard with a full length of the field try to open the scorecard.
The Bears held the lead and went into the break in front, 16-10.
Unfortunately for the Bears the cards didn’t fall their way in second half as they found themselves defending a majority of the time.
Club person, Peter Campbell, said Young was slapped with around eight consecutive penalties as a result of poor discipline.
“You cannot score a try without the ball, and we had zero possession,” he said.
Eugowra took advantage of the situation to go on a scoring spree and ultimately win themselves the game, 36-26.
In the women’s division an undermanned Young team lost 24-nil to the third-placed Eagles.
