Hennessy Catholic College student, Nicolas Hall, is the recipient of February’s intermediate sportsperson award sponsored by Bush Chemist, Young.

The Year 9 student received the Young Sports Advisory Committee award after a taking his passion for cricket to a national level.
Hall was selected for the NSW Combined All Schools team in February, what's believed to be a first for Hennessy.
He has since competed in the Under 17s State Challenge for cricket, he was selected for the NSW Country Rugby League team, and was in the Under 15 Cherrypickers team who won the 2016 premiership. Hall was named Best and Fairest for the Cherrypickers Under 15s team for 2016, and earned the Rick Keast Medal during his grand final match.
“It’s good having most of my work paying off and that I’ve worked hard to get the award,” he said. “I’ve been training hard so it’s a good feeling to see it pay off and receive the award.”
