St John’s Anglican Church is inviting local businesses, schools and community groups to take part in a Christmas tree festival.
The inaugural Christmas tree festival will be held over the first week in December, which marks the beginning of Advent in the Church and coincides with the Young Cherry Festival.
The church is inviting locals to make and decorate a Christmas Tree that reflects their business, organisation or group.
It might be a live tree, real, artificial or creatively devised.
The themed Christmas tree can be traditional, beautiful, inspiring or amusing.
Trees can demonstrate the kind of business or organisation you are involved in, eg a school tree with books, painted hands for a pre-school or sporting items for a sports club.
