Flooded roads don’t stop the Young team.
Water everywhere, flooding creeks, paddocks and across the road.
That was the situation when a team of Lady Bowlers from Young started out to attend Cowra President’s Day.
There were signs up everywhere warning of water over the road but the roads weren’t closed.
The traffic was running smoothly so the Young Ladies kept going.
The lades were rewarded with a really nice day when they got to Cowra Bowling Club.
Cowra President’s Day is always a big turnout with many clubs attending.
It is a great day as the Young ladies don’t usually meet such as Orange City, Parkes, Canowindra and Manildra players.
Grenfell Ladies were there and teams from Cowra made up the day.
A number of clubs from further North including Forbes had to cancel owing to the flooding.
But it was still a good day.
The Spider was first then the game which went to 14 ends before the ladies were called into to enjoy a lovely lunch.
Cowra President, Ann Costelli, welcomed all the visiting teams and awarded the prizes.
Canowindra team one were the winners on the day with Canowindra team two Runners up.
