The 2016 Maimuru Spring Fair is just around the corner but the primary school is seeking public assistance to successfully run the fair.
The spring fair set in the school’s tranquil garden surrounds has been the primary fundraiser for Maimuru Public School a small rural school located a short 10 minute drive outside of Young, for the past six years and it has grown in popularity each year.
The school is hoping to continue to offer an outstanding all-round education with an upgrade to the technology and library resources offered to the students.
The schools P and C Association is seeking any offers of financial assistance or donations of prizes for competitions, raffles or sample bags.
Any donation big or small, will assist the school to successfully run the spring fair and bring the school a step closer to achieving their goal.
The school has offered for the kind donations to be acknowledged in the form of media publicity, before during and after the fair.
The fair which will be held on Saturday, October 22, from 10am until 3pm will include a Jumping Castle, Sample Bags, Face Painting and food stalls just to name a few of the attractions.
Donations can be left at Maimuru Public School or, alternatively, you can contact Karen Steenbergen the Maimuru P and C Association Treasurer on 0408 603 255.
Last year a record number of residents ventured to the school to take part in the fair and were delighted in the tastes of local produce, tempting treats, beauty products, candles, jewellery, hand made clothing, bags, shoes and were fascinated by the artful crafts of timber recycling, scrapbooking, horse shoe art, books and puzzles.
