Players who have qualified for the Norman Crawford matchplay are ask to arrange to play their matches as soon as is possible. Next Saturday’s event will be sponsored by Col and Michele Blizzard and the event is a four Ball Medley.
On Sunday we are holding an 'open' four person Ambrose as a fundraiser for Hayley Anderson. who has MND. Teams of four but individuals are welcome to enter with the pro. shop on 6382 1543. The cost per player is $25 and it is a shotgun start at 10am.
Last week we had some volunteers help get the course back in working condition. Your efforts are appreciated. I do think we will need more efforts in this regard.
The daylight savings teams comp. started last week however new teams can still join in.
Teams of up to to five players, playing six holes any day. Individuals who are not in a team and would like to play may contact Bryce in the pro. shop.There is no issue in having the course available for this competition.
The veterans week of golf is only four weeks away, starting on November 14 and we have 180 players nominated to date with only a few of these players local. It would be appreciated if our local players who would like to play any or every day might put their entry in at the pro. shop by this Wednesday.
Regarding the many visitors wish to hire a golf cart, supplied by our members who are not involved in playing during the week. If you can help in this regard would you please leave your name in the pro. shop.
Wednesday, October 12 Medley Stableford - Pro's Comp: first Adrian Hanrahan 44 points, second Wayne Hewson 41 points, third Brandt Riley 41 points, fourth Chris "Smoky" Fraser 40 points. Balls went down to 31 points on a count-back. Jackpot ball draw was won by John Connell.
Friday, October 14 Weekly nine Hole Comp: first Ron Flynn 21 points from Chris Keevil with 20 points. Balls went down to 20 points on a count-back. Please note that the midweek comp can be played on any midweek day.
October 15 4BBB Stableford: First "Little" Garry Nicolls and Adrian Hanrahan 48 points, second Phillip "Darkie" Oliver and "Big" Garry Nicolls 45 points. Keith Simmons Engineering NTPs: third not won, eighth not won, 14th Gavin Marshall.
