Senior Representative team of Young defeated Forbes in round two of McDonalds Plate. Young were sent in to bat after losing the toss on a very damp wicket in Forbes. Smithy Goodman and Captain Sam Langford opened the batting and set about a good starting partnership of 44 before Smithy was dismissed for 21. Sam went on to top score with 62 with only one other batsmen making double figures Brett Humphreys on 12.
Young were all out for 147. After lunch, Forbes opened their batting strongly with J.Nicolson scoring 25 off the openers. Newcomer Callan Taylor was virtually unplayable going for 0/13 off his first six. A double bowling change bringing on the spin of Kris Scelly from one end and the pace of Vice Captain Jason Hall from the other. Kris finished with 3 for 25 off ten overs and Jason Hall after being on a hat-trick in just his second over finished with 5 for 23 off 9 overs. Forbes all out for 92.
