In its 25th year UnitingCare and Target have partnered to brighten the lives of thousands of Australians at Christmas through their annual Christmas Appeal.
Last year the appeal helped over 45,000 Australian families both regionally and across the country.
Local UnitingCare coordinator, Bob Lloyd said this year has been really tough for families facing issues of unemployment and increasing living costs.
It’s an important time of year to give back to communities in Australia, Target’s managing director, Guy Russo, said.
Locals are encouraged to drop off unwrapped gifts under the Target Christmas tree at the front of our local store, or purchase a $1 bauble gift tag at the checkout until December 24. All proceeds will be donated to the UnitingCare Christmas appeal.
