After experiencing a massive high having won the Junee Pacers Cup on Thursday night with Ned Pepper, the expectation for Jenner was of a repeat performance by A Complicated Lady at Menangle on Saturday. Unfortunately like all best laid plans they went “pear shape” with another runner, drawn outside the local pacer, galloping away and in doing so taking A Complicated Lady completely out of the race.
Despite Jenner’s mixed results from last week a lot of locally trained pacers have been racing well over the past week with many locally trained horses resulting in placings at Canberra, Parkes and Junee, not to mention the Menangle meeting for regular visitors to Young, Nathan Hurst and Angela Hedges.
