Young Opens won every game they played on the day to end up the winners of their division in the comp with Sapphire Coast Opens runner-up on the day. In the Under 15 division Wagga Black was too strong for Wagga Green. Under 14 winners were Leeton with Yass placing second to the Riverina side. Under 13 went to Wagga Green who won over Wagga Black. In the tightly contested Under 12 division that was split into two pools, Wagga Green won over Tumut in the A-pool with B-pool won by Leeton 11’s with Yass 11’s runner up.
Netball NSW are holding the School’s Cup in Young on May 15. The comp is open for students in Years 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9. In conjunction with the School’s Cup is the Years 3 and 4 Gala Day. For more information contact Young and District Netball Association.
