Hole-in-one for O’Brien
Darren O'Brien celebrated his hole-in-one on the 17th on Wednesday in the usual manner. Congratulations Darren.
Next Saturday
Next Saturday one of the clubs premier events is being held, namely the Par Three Open Tournament. Sponsors for the event are Community Broking Network and Richard Mellish Insurance Services. This is a unique event and presents 18 opportunities to score a hole-in-one in a scheduled competition. There will be scratch and handicap events for the men and the ladies so we are anxious for a big field to play.
Coming up on Friday
On the Friday before – this Friday – Stuart Norton is holding his open Ambrose fund raiser for charity. Open to all, details from Norton Real Estate or the Pro-shop.
Veterans’ Week of Golf
Next Monday will be the start of the Veterans’ Week of Golf at the Young Golf Club with over 200 players registered and a daily average of almost 190 players playing. Fantastic effort and many thanks to the special businesses in town who support the promotion.
Scott Fuller starts on Sunday, November 26 with Young playing at Gundagai. The event is a medley fourball with shotgun start 10am. Players who would like to go please leave your name in the pro-shop. To get off to a good star we need a minimum of 12 pairs participating. White pegs are now in place to define the GUR areas (gardens) on the 18th hole.
