The Tipperary Golf Club held its Annual General Meeting at the club house on Sunday February 11 as well as the election of office bearers with a positive and optimistic view for the future expressed.

The new committee is:
Barry Hazelgrove – president
Vera McMillan – acting secretary
Paul Jasprizza – club captain
Noel Martens – public officer
Other committee members are David Jasprizza, Pat Hewen, Adam Jasprizza, Col Orr and Bill Foreman
During the meeting on Sunday the president thanked the old committee for their services for almost 20-years. He also thanked the volunter workers for the way they have kept the course in such good condition and a special thank you to Max Hall from the members and all the players for the countless hours of work he has given the club. The president also thanked all of the sponsors for their generous support throughout the year.
Members expressed their appreciation that Tipperary had given them a chance to enjoy their gold because of its low cost and that they could play nine-18 holes for just $3 within 2-3 hours giving them time for other commitments.
Most who attend believed that they knew of others who would like to play and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of the club the president said with the help of the committee he would like to keep costs as low as possible. Membership is only $45 per year and members can play for as little as $3 for 18-holes.
Golf clubs can be provided free of cost until you can afford to purchase your own. Family and juniors, good and bad players are all welcome. When playing remember all work at the club is done by volunteers. For enquiries phone Barry 63823704 or Vera on 63821475.

Sunday – 1st Pat Hewen and Max Hardman 61/52, 2nd Barry Hazlegrove and Geoff Nott 62/534. Gobbles – Pat and Max, Barry and Geoff, Brad Kevin (2). Birdies – Andrew and Brad, Barry and Geoff (2).
Sunday will be a flag event.
