Residents of the Hilltops community are in for a sausage dog treat . Mini dachshunds have been summoned in the local area to come out and put on a parade for all at the "Sausages on Parade" event from 11 am - 2 pm.
Hilltops Councillor Rita O'Connor said the parade is a great opportunity for all the family to embrace an enliven event, in the most entertaining form.
"It is an avenue to promote community and to get people involved in some family fun," she said.
Attendance to the event is only a gold coin donation, which gets you a snag from the BBQ and admittance to the local live entertainment.
Everyone is welcome to bring picnic blankets or chairs in order to unwind and have a giggle at the fun event.
"All dogs are welcome, though they must be kept on leads." Councillor O'Connor said.
“Come along for a doggy extravaganza, full of entertainment and certain amusement for the kids.”
