Brian James from the Young and District Family History Group said the society was planning further sessions on the region’s migration.
“I wish to welcome Auntie Enid Clarke, who is a Wiradjuri Elder and represents the custodians of this land for many thousands of years,” he said.
“The Young Historical Society have plans to further develop our knowledge of the history of the migration of people from all over the world, particularly to our region, and to further our knowledge of the native Australians who were the original inhabitants,” he said.
Mr James also thanked all the volunteers who helped to bring the project to fruition.
“A special thank you to Emma Smith and Branden Adams who did the “voiceover” commentary for the DVD, and the technical assistance they provided. Thanks to Larry Wordsworth for the use of his studio, equipment and time involved.”
