At the recent district athletics carnival, students competed as part of the Young Small Schools team and were up against Young Public and Young North students.
It was a fabulous day, with some outstanding results from all students involved.
Murringo Public are very proud to have had so many students qualify for the regional athletics carnival in Albury later this term, considering the number of students at the school.

- Murringo Public School
Murringo will be sending two students for shot put, one for discus, an 800m runner, four 100m runners and three 200m runners, as well as a relay team.
There were a number of other students who were extremely close to selection and finished second in their events at district, where only the top competitor makes it through. Murringo Public School also produced three runners up in the age championships and the junior boys age champion.
That is an outstanding result for a small school and we wish Murringo Public School all the best at the regional carnival later in the month.
