The Hilltops Region is a favoured destination during the October long weekend with the Boorowa Irish Woolfest a key attraction in the line-up of activities.
Boorowa Irish Woolfest
A big influx of visitors is expected to the region with the 22nd Irish Woolfest to be conducted in Boorowa from Friday September 28 to Sunday September 30. See the running of the sheep down the town’s main street, enjoy the strains of the 2018 Australia Celtic Music Awards best new talent, SugarTree. The festival celebrates the Irish heritage and rich bounty of the Boorowa Plains and there is loads of family entertainment in store…
Bribbaree Show
You’ll find show jumping and ring events, sideshow alley, poultry, sheep, wool, cooking handicrafts, children’s play area, pedal tractor farm, tug-o-war, animal nursery and more at the 92nd Bribbaree Show on Saturday. One of the best little shows on the circuit.
Jugiong Markets
Graze Riverside Markets Jugiong are being conducted this Saturday with markets stalls of regional food and drink producers and free samples and tastings of regional gourmet produce from 9am to 2pm. The Jugiong Riverside Markets will then be held the following week. Young’s regional markets are also being held on Saturday 29th.
Open Garden
Young PCYC is holding an Open Garden Fundraiser at the historic Burrangong Station on October 7 from 10am to3pm. It’s said to be the first time the station has been open to the public. Enjoy high tea, art, music, garden stalls and tranquil views. Funds raised will be used to empower young people to develop skills, character and leadership.
