Despite the rain our players showed great patience and eventually got play underway. The day was a fund raiser for breast cancer and sponsored by Col and Michele Blizzard.
The main event was the mixed event and the winners were Todd Shipton and Tilla Davis on 44 points.
In the individual Stableford the winners were Alan Wilder with 37 points and Chris Keevil with 38 points.

Nearest to the pin winners were Keith Duran and Peter Doherty. Phillip Oliver won the Repco nearest to the pins. Balls in the individual event went down to 33 points.
Also on Saturday the Norman Crawford Memorial matchplay was finalised with Allan Moore defeating Jason Nolan on the 22nd hole. The event is sponsored by the veteran golfers.
The Sunday social club played a four ball over 14 holes and the winners were Steve Eldridge and Murray Hanley. The Sunday medley was won by Peter Greaves with 37 points on a countback from Beau Elsley.
Saturday’s rain just kicked the course along and will ensure it is in great condition for the vets. Next Saturday we are holding the mixed foursomes championships over 18 holes.

It would be great to have at least 20 pairs participate. For players not in the mixed a single event will be held.

We will again participate in the Scott Fuller teams competition.
It is not too late to get a daylight savings team organised.
