The Young Bowling Club traveled to Cowra last Sunday to play the Annual 2LF challange.
Fine conditions prevailed and some excellent matches were conducted with 24 players representing each club. Games were even with four wins each however, the Young club with 193 shots defeated the Cowra club with 173 shots and retained the trophy.

The annual event will be hosted by the Young club next October. The mix paired competition continued during the week, matches were played on Thursday and Friday, games were very close in two of the matches. Only one shot margin separated the teams.
Heather Bailey and Ian Schofield won by 22 shots over Mary Bennett. Judith and Terry Miller defeated Damien Miller and Margo Palmer, 18 shots to 17. Terese Ruhl and Kevin Porter defeated Sheila and Cliff Traynor, 22 shots to 21. Jenny and Geoff Holt won 22 to 13 against Jill and Dennis Rosen.
On Thursday the weather conditions were excellent, 26 players attended and the winners for the afternoon on a countback with a 13 short margin were Alan Galw and Cliff Traynor.
The charity night bowls continued on Tuesday and Thursday nights. Tuesday night winners were the Lachlan Street team with 14 points.

Thursday night the team of Boof’s Hero’s were winners for the second time with a margin of 15 points. The heavy showers on Saturday washed out the Jackpot, Patterson Brother’s voucher game.
Nominations are being taken for the club fours and minor singles championships and more games will be played this week in the mixed championships with games commencing on Tuesday. Sunday morning Bowls, 10 players took part, winners with a 12 shot margin were Peter Cram and Albert Carter.
