The national event encourages all Australians who love a fashionable bargain to visit their local Vinnies Shop, find something they love, wear it on the day and share a photo on social media by using the hashtag #DressedbyVinnies.
Young's Vinnies offer an eclectic mix of bargains pulled in mostly from Canberra and surrounds, with the money from the purchases then going straight back into the community.

Young’s store manager, Bronwyn, says that a $4 shirt is not only a great bargain but also a loaf of bread for someone struggling.
"The money goes straight back to the community, to help feed people or help pay their bills," Bronwyn said.
Director Lindsay Rae explained how Vinnies helps support those in need.

“Firstly those who have no money for clothing are given vouchers by our St Vincent de Paul volunteer members team during their interviews and they can go into the shop and chose what they want. Those who are struggling on low incomes can use their low income based concession cards on Thursdays to get a 30 per cent discount,” Lindsay said.
"We want the community to be proud of their Vinnies purchases and to flaunt them, because they’re quality products and they’ve helped improve someone’s life.”
