Organiser Bianca Campbell was hugely pleased with the crowd at the Bribbaree Showground, with people of all ages travelling from from far and wide to celebrate the end of 2018, and beginning of 2019.
“It was a great day and night. I think it was a bit bigger than I thought. I wasn’t sure how it would go and the closer it got I was worried there wouldn’t be many people, but it was perfect. We had probably between 150 to 170 there,” Bianca said.
There was constant entertainment with singers and bands performing on the prime mover stage, however the Cow Drop Lotto proved the main event.
“A couple from Sydney came all the way to Bribbaree to be a part of it,” Bianca said.
A fireworks display at midnight capped the New Year’s celebration.
More than $5000 was raised for the Burrumbuttock Hay Runners who transport hay to northern NSW and Queensland. Their next run is January 26 when they head to Quilpie, QLD.
