Jockey Rebeka Prest will be out of the saddle for at least two months after confirmation of two fractures in a fall at Wagga on Christmas Eve.

Prest fell when her horse Tribal Myth clipped the heels of another runner in a maiden at the Murrumbidgee Turf Club. She was also caught by the hoof of a trailing horse.
Prest was taken to hospital for x-rays before being released and advised to wait until the swelling subsided for further scans.
They have now revealed a fractured wrist and a fractured scapula.
Prest doesn’t require surgery but will have a cast on her wrist for six weeks before requiring another scan.
It’s a big blow for the talented apprentice from Young who was making a name for herself since moving to Matthew Smith at Warwick Farm.
She’s had three provincial winners this season and six minor placings, as well as three minors at metropolitan meetings (from 12 rides).
Prest has also had 14 country victories since the start of August, including a treble at Albury last month, and 27 placings.

The injuries to Prest come weeks after Wagga jockey Nick Heywood was injured in a fall during a trial in mid-December.
