Michael and Lisa Croke of M&M’s Music Studio has been named Young’s Business of the Year at the 2019 Australia Day ceremony.

The audio and visual specialists cater for numerous community, cultural and sporting events.
This includes the Lambing Flat Chinese Festival, National Cherry Festival, Young Theatre Company, Southern Cross Cinema, School of Music Concerts, multiple awards nights and debutante balls.
Mr Croke accepted the prize at Carrington Park on Saturday morning, describing his job as a “passion”.

“This is not a job to us, this is a passion. We really enjoy this,” Michael Croke said.
“I’ve just carried on a family tradition. I just want to say we love this town, we were educated here, we left here and came back.
“We really appreciate this, but it’s just something we really love doing.”
Hilltops mayor Brian Ingram presented the award and highlighted the influence the business has had on Young.
“Michael and Lisa are dedicated to enriching the lives of others with all forms of music and cultural activities through time, support and encouragement to individuals and community groups,” Mr Ingram said.
“They have helped young people find a passion for music by sponsoring and organising events such as the battle of the voices and by mentoring emerging artists.”

Mr Ingram outlined how M&M Music Studio promotes a number of local events.
“M&Ms Music Studio are a valued local business in the Young community through promoting events and selling tickets to events at their establishment,” he said.
“M&Ms Music Studio go above and beyond putting extra time and effort to ensure all community events are run smoothly, here’s proof today.
“All the way from set up, sound, lighting and audio, M&Ms Music Studio are involved in a variety of community events.”
Mr Ingram said “many people have said that Michael’s and Lisa’s hearts are the pulse of Young”.
“They conduct themselves and their business with great professionalism, warmth, respect and genuine care for the community and its people,” he said.
A large crowed was on hand to congratulate them.
