The winning combination was Gary Nicolls and Rick Oliver with 60 nett. They won narrowly from Ben Norton and Ross Hewitt with 60.25 net.
The Watson Toyota NTP winners were Ray Hargraves (7th) and Bob Stone (17th).
The Terry Bros Carpet Court secret birdie hole winners were Kyle McGovern and Aaron Murfitt.
The Vinnies Pizza winners were Pammie McCloy and Carmelle Carberry.
The golf course after the recent rain just looks terrific but staff and others will be kept very busy trying to keep ahead of the grass growth.
On Sunday Jason Nolan was the medley winner with 39 points from James French on 37 points and Chris Fraser was third on 34 points.
The Sunday morning social club was played over 14 holes. The winner was Ben Holmes on 51 net.
James Brewster was second with 55 net and Neville Rhodes was third on 56 net.
Simon Murray won the NTP and Chris Holmes collect 'the Bradmans'.
All members are reminded of the special meeting this Wednesday at 6pm in the clubhouse.
This is the first step forward after the amalgamation of the Young Golf Club with the Services Club.
President Patrick Fitzgerald will present a report, we will have a financial statement then the meeting will elect a new committee to run the men’s golf.
As with many organisations there are always many ideas thrown about in conversations but rarely do these get to be discussed or acted upon by those who are in control. This meeting is and will be a great opportunity for members to help direct the future activities of the club.
All members are invited to attend and participate.
We need to acknowledge the contribution of President Patrick Fitzgerald and Secretary Craig Watson who have been very involved with proceedings leading up to the finalisation of amalgamation.
Next Saturday the members event, a 4 ball, will be sponsored by Barry Martens, John Jones and Greg Nolan.
Next Sunday we are hosting the club qualifying Volkswagen scramble ambrose event.
This is our chance to get a team moving forward to the regional final so we are hopeful of getting the number of teams playing to ensure this is possible.
A big day to keep in mind is the OOO Emergency Service 'open' Charity day Ambrose on Friday February 23. Players without a handicap welcome.
