Former Australia Test and one-day international captain Steve Waugh and his son Austin, an Australian under-19s representative, will host a cricket clinic for juniors in the South West Slopes cricket competition on Sunday, April 7 at Keith Cullen Oval.
More than 40 juniors from under 13s, under 16s and the Girls Thunder League based in Young, Temora and Cootamundra are expected to take advantage of the rare opportunity to be taught by an Australian cricket legend.
Five specialist coaches will be on deck to give each young cricketer plenty to work on during the off-season ahead of the 2019-2020 season.

Young Junior Cricket Club's Kelly Meddings explained how the opportunity arose.
"Steve is an ambassador for Blooms the Chemist which is a major sponsor for the South West Slopes Cricket competition," Kelly said.
The clinic will focus on all facets of cricket beginning at 8.30am and running through till 1pm at Keith Cullen Oval.
Waugh will also host a meet and greet open to the public at the Young Services Club on Saturday night between 6pm and 7pm.
Registrations are still open however the child must be registered with South West Slopes cricket and in the under 13s, under 16s or Girls Thunder League age bracket.
There will be no registrations accepted on the day.

He's Australia's third top leading runscorer in Test cricket behind Allan Border and Ricky Ponting.
