The under 17s met Gundagai at Alfred Oval on Sunday beginning with a steady start for the Pickers completing most of their sets.
Ben Baker dove over from dummy-half after 11 minutes to post the first try of the game.
From the restart, the boys put on a smart set move which saw Blake Coombes go 60m to score the team's second try.
Gundagai started to rally after that and were peppering Young's tryline when Michael Downer scooped up a loose ball and went the length of the field untouched.
Then with four minutes to go until halftime Tom McIlhatton ran in a try on the far corner after some scrappy lead up play. Tom also kicked two from four in the first half for the boys to go into the sheds leading 20-0.
The second half was a much more even affair. Giving away too many cheap penalties led to Gundagai crossing for a try after 10 minutes. Ben Baker dived over again from dummy half after a quick play the ball with 15 to go making the score 26-6.
That's where it stayed for the rest of the match. Players player Blake Coombes was a stand out again but a great performance from every member of the side.
Under 19s
The Young Cherrypickers under 19s are undefeated after two round, thanks to a 26-20 win over Gundagai on Sunday.
Three quick tries after the halftime break gave Young the momentum and set up the victory, despite the Tigers scoring late tries.
Best player on the day was Jack Rolfe while tries were scored by Rolfe, James Ferguson, Jonty Langfield, Zac Sell and Tom Reynolds.
Jacob Lucas kicked three goals.
Reserve grade
Young led for 60 minutes of Sunday's reserve fixture against Gundagai at Alfred Oval, however they were forced to share the points, with the two sides playing out a 6-6 draw.
Young had chances during the back end of the match however they failed to capitalise as fatigue took its toll.
Harry Nowlan, Bailey Coombes, Stu James and Matt Maloney were standouts, while Will Stanley made his debut.
"We're very proud of defence that was worked on during the week at training," manager Robert Bush said.
First grade
Mangager Cameron Jones says the Cherrypickers can't afford to give sides commanding leads after chasing victory again on Sunday. Young suffered a 38-30 loss after Gundagai raced to a 28-6 lead at the break. The team will have this week off for Easter before playing Wagga Brothers.
League tag
Young was edged 20-18 in round two league-tag action.
