Police are reminding motorists to take care in and around schools, not only with the re-implementation of the 40 kilometer an hour zones but also in car parks, crossings, drop off zones and anywhere that children may be present.
Motorists are asked to take extra precautions with students walking and riding to school, many who walk along the very busy Campbell Street road.
Students at St Mary's Primary School and Hennessy Catholic College will return to school on Tuesday April 30 with Monday being a staff development day for teachers and a pupil free day for students.
Students at Young High School, Young Public School and Young North Public School will be returning to classes on Tuesday April 30 as the public schools across the area will also be holding a staff development day and pupil free day on Monday.
