Weddin Landcare have extended an invitation to locals in Young to attend a Basic Garden Design Workshop in Grenfell on Friday.

The free event will look at creating functional and practical landscapes to suit lifestyle as well as native plants to suit gardens in the local area and available from local nurseries.
A popular Gooloogong based landscape designer and horticulturalist will be one of the presenters on the day.
There will also be an introduction to the Small Purple Pea Project by Stephen Pereira from Local Land Services and a visit to the Patina Gallery on the Gooloogong Road.
The meeting will be on Friday May 3 from 9am to 3pm at the Grenfell Country Club. Morning tea and lunch will be provided with free native plants and lucky door prizes.
Bookings are essential for catering purposes.
The project is supported by Weddin Landcare through funding from the Australian Government's National Landcare Program and Central West Local Land Services.
