Komaisavou has been named at halfback while Blake Hewitt moves from hooker to five-eighth in a big reshuffle for the Cherrypickers which will see Jesse Corcoran shift to dummy-half and Tom Bush to fullback.
Komaisavou, 27, will make his debut in Young's clash with Junee on Saturday at Laurie Daley Oval.
He has experience at international level having played for Fiji in a Pacific Tri-Series featuring Australia and Papua New Guinea in October 2017.
"Looking at him on Tuesday he was quick, he had good footwork and I think he could have a real impact," Roy Jewitt said.
"He's a halfback who has played for Fiji so it was really just a case of putting him straight in."
Jewitt identified a lack of direction from Young's halves during the opening month of Group Nine.
He expects Komaisavou and Blake Hewitt to provide the spark they need.
"Blake is a great organiser and talker and I think he can provide what I'm hoping will improve us," he said.
One of Young's best in last week's 22-all draw with Temora, James Schiller moves from fullback to outside Aborosio Navori on the left wing, creating what Jewitt hopes to be an exiting combination.
"This is round five and we do need to start getting things right. We have one win and one draw, you can't be too confident but I think we'll be a good side."
First grade is set to begin at 2.35pm.
