Young Turf Club have welcomed recent rains in their preparation of the running of the South West Slopes Credit Union, Young Hotel Young Cup meeting to be held this Saturday afternoon.

Secretary of the club David Robinson was pleased to accept the cheque from joint sponsor of the feature race at a presentation last Friday afternoon.
The club has also received a framed print of the mighty mare Winx, courtesy of Garry and Maree Cummins of the Young Hotel.
This collectors edition print will be the centre attention at the meeting with tickets to be sold prior and during the Saturday race day.
A free bus will be provided for patrons leaving the Young Hotel at 12pm.
A record 82 nominations have been received for the Young Cup meeting.
One of the southern districts's leading trainers Chris Heywood, based in Wagga, has entered Kruanui in the $11,000 Young Cup.
The Cup has attracted nine entries with nominations extend until Tuesday morning.
Final fields will be available on Thursday morning at 9.30am.
