The men played a 4BBB versus Par event on Saturday.

The field consisted of 52 players with a number of visitors taking advantage of the June long weekend to come and play golf on the Young course.

The winning team was Phillip Oliver and Beau Elsley with a fantastic score of plus 12.

The runners up were Peter Campbell and Brendan McMillan who finished on plus 10.

The Watson Toyota nearest to the pin winners were Steve Connelly (7th) and Max Gilbert (17th). The Repco nearest to the pin winner was Jim Glasheen.

Originally Saturday's event was to be the Keno challenge.

The rules have only recently changed for the Keno Challenge and it will now be an ambrose event played over three divisions. The three divisions are men's, laddies' and mixed.

There are a number of rules relating to how the handicap will now operate. To accommodate for these changes the event has been moved to July 20. Pud Smithers was the winner of the Wednesday Pro's Ball Medley with a score of 39 points. In second place was Grant Harding who had 36 points and beat Peter Rushby on a countback. Balls went down to 30 points.

The Friday nine hole Stableford competition was won by Wayne Hewson with 19 points from Ron Flynn who had 18 points.

On Sunday the social club played a nine hole event which was won by Peter Norton on a three way countback with a score of 33 from Peter Campbell and Lloyd Foley.

The Sunday Pro's Ball Medley was won by Craig Watson with 41 points. In second place was Chris Keevil who had 36 points and beat Chris Fraser on a countback.

Next Saturday the men will play a single stableford sponsored by Hamblin's Amcal Pharmacy.

The following week on Saturday 22 the event is a two up four ball. This is where the front nine holes are a best ball event and the second nine holes are an aggregate. The event will be sponsored by Steve Dewar and Grant Noakes.

Winter is here and we need to be mindful of the damage to the course that can occur from carts. Members are requested to drive their carts down the side of fairways and avoid going down the middle.

To help maintain the condition of the course please ensure that there is one cart per two players. Refer to the notice board in the Pro Shop for other daily changes relating to the course.
