The primary debating team known as the 'Cherrypickers' managed to win its debate in a hard fought battle against the all boys Murrumburrah side.
The team were very well organised with plenty of arguments and rebuttals with all of their hard work and practice with Mrs Coulter paying off.
The two teams who competed consisted of students in Year 5 and Year 6 who had spent Monday afternoons over the last term practicing and perfecting their crafts.
The Gumleaves, the second primary debating team also worked extremely hard and only very narrowly went down to the Murrumburrah Public School side.
The Gumleaves debated the topic of primary schools should have compulsory organised sport for every student, every lunchtime.
The side used lots of well supplemented arguments, backed up by statistics and general knowledge with their hard work almost paying off.
