On Saturday afternoon there were two clear-cut results in the semi-finals.
Damien and David played excellent bowls to defeat Ged Hardman and Russell Boyd 31-8 and John Cooper and Harold Anderson were too consistent for Michael Webb and Tom Preston to record a 24-12 win.
Damien and David continued their strong play against John and Harold on Sunday afternoon winning the first six ends and then building on their lead towards the end of the game to win 23-7.
The fine weather on Saturday attracted 26 players for Jackpot bowls.
The triples team of Peter Berry, Brian March and Les Fanning won the Patterson Bros Funerals sponsored vouchers with a runaway margin of 34 shots.
Other winners were Aldo Malvicino and Mark Anderson (6), Greg Woods and Kevin Porter (7), Albert Carter and Denis Rosen (5), Darryle Miller and Colin Chapman (3) and Scott Douglas and Rod Cummings (23).
There were eight players on the green on Sunday morning in very cool conditions. This weekend there will be Jackpot play on Saturday afternoon, Sunday morning bowls and a preliminary round of the BPL Cup starting at 10am on Sunday.
