The leading roles are played by well-known and respected members with great acting ability and strong voices.
Rob Provan plays Professor Higgins, Julie O'Connor is Eliza Doolittle and Eris Gleeson portrays Colonel Pickering. Many people know the story of how Higgins bets Pickering that he can take a common flower seller - Eliza - and teach her to speak and act like a lady.
For six months Eliza perseveres with the phonetic lessons. Once mastered, Higgins takes her to Ascot - where things don't quite go to plan.
Other main characters are Alfred Doolittle a dustman and Eliza's father, played by Phil Mitchell, Mrs Pearce the housekeeper played by Kerrie Provan and the love-sick Freddy Eynsford-Hill played by Peter O'Connor.
Joy Rule is Mrs Higgins and Barb Granger is Mrs Eynsford-Hill.
Stuart Hart has created a great set and Kay McDonald and Chris Murphy have been up to their eyeballs creating wonderful gowns for Ascot and the Ball scene.
The story line is great and quite funny in parts. The overall visual effect is colourful and the music - which will be under the baton of Mark Brooker - is wonderful. A show not to be missed.
We open on August 30 and go for two weekends. Bookings will open on August 12 at M&M's Music Studio.
