A POWER outage near the centre of Young has left more than 50 customers in the dark on Thursday morning.
Essential Energy is reporting that the unplanned outage occurred at 6.24am and has left 54 customers without power.
The outage is located between Main, William, Stoneridge and Nasmyth streets.
At this stage Essential Energy has not provided any further information on when the power will be back on for these customers.
The outage comes following months of turmoil for the government-owned electricity supplier which announced 682 jobs cuts across regional NSW before it reversed the decision following widespread condemnation.
Prior to the job cut reversal, the region's business leaders said they feared less staff would lead to delays during power outages.
