I also attended the soil turning for the Harden Racecourse shared facility upgrade.
Both these projects are funded by the state government and will see upgrades of over $1.5 million for the community to enjoy.
Library information session
I am pleased to invite the community to attend a drop-in information session regarding the joint use library and community facility on Monday, November 18.
The session will be held at Hilltops Council's Young Office from 5pm-7pm. There will also be a session held at Young High School from 2.30pm-4pm.
These sessions will provide residents with the opportunity to receive an update on the project prior to the planning documents going on public exhibition with the Department of Planning, Industry and Environment.
Water cleaning
The water main cleaning program across the region is still in progress. This cleaning helps to reduce water discolouration prior to the summer months when the chance of water discolouration increases with usage.
The cleaning process may cause some temporary discoloration, loss of pressure or supply interruption on the day of cleaning. Further information and the cleaning schedule can be found on the Hilltops Council website.
Research Station opening
I will be attending the Boorowa Agricultural Research Station Official Opening and Open Day this Saturday.
This is a purpose-built 290-hectare facility that is helping develop Australian farms of the future by testing emerging technologies in crop science, agronomy and farming systems. CSIRO will be celebrating it's opening with activities including an official ceremony, tours of the site, barbecue and activities for kids. I encourage the community to go along and have a look at this impressive facility delivering economic benefits to Boorowa and the Hilltops region.
