Boorowa Police Station will be open when Senior Constable Williams is on duty, a NSW Police spokesperson said.
"Senior Constable Williams has transferred from Caragabal Police Station and has a wealth of experience in rural and small community policing and an interest in community engagement and partnership," Inspector of Young Police Station Jacob Reeves said.
Senior Constable Aston Williams joins Senior Senior Constable Belinda Hewitt who is currently on extended leave and will return in the middle of 2020.
Inspector Reeves thanked retiring Senior Constable Randall O'Brien.
"I take this opportunity to acknowledge the service of Senior Constable Randall O'Brien, the retiring officer in charge of Boorowa. Senior Constable O'Brien made a significant positive impact upon Boorowa and is the epitome of a community police officer," he said.
"We wish Senior Constable O'Brien the best in retirement, having has given 29 years to the police force, 25 years to country NSW and 12 years to Boorowa."
